Jesus Walks on Water – Above the Lies

Jesus Walks on Water – Above the Lies

I teach what I needed to learn.

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me,”” John 14:6 NKJV

I was brought up believing that I could change the world. I am of the baby boomers generation. We were taught that we could be whatever we want to be. We were taught socialist values, such as sharing our wealth to the third world countries since we (the western nations) were the causes of their demises. They pave the way to global protectionism by teaching that dirty oil was the causes. We were taught that sexual relationship before marriage was ok, using a test drive a car before purchasing it as an analogy. We were taught new age values that all gods are the same god and that whatever the path you chose, it will take you to a higher level of ascension.

Until the day a door to door book salesman knocked at my door. I bought a Bible. Then that was it, I became in love with the truth. I lived in a conflict between the lies and the truth. Then, I wanted to share my discovery that we were living in a pool of lies and that there is only one way to eternal life and more. The pool was so refreshing and pleasant it made difficult to chose to get out. Many would come out up to their waist only to find out that it was chilly, that the truth was uncomfortable and went right back into the pool.

Jesus Walks on Water – Above the Lies.

In Matthew 14:25, Jesus joined the disciples who were in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves. Then Peter saw Jesus on water said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” And we know the rest of the story. Peter left the boat, walked on water, got scared, started to sink, cried out to Jesus for rescuing him. And Jesus intervene.

This is my analogy. Please take it as such. The sea is like the pool of lies, Jesus is the truth (John 14:6) and can not be part of the lies, therefore can not sink. Peter represents new believers who encounter the truth who struggle to get out of the pool of lies. Jesus kept His promise that He will never forsake us never leave us (Heb 13:5).

Stay in love with the Truth... Mark 12:30, Revelation 2:19
