One Gospel One Truth

By Mike Taylor Isaiah 14:12  How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 14:13  For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14:14  I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 14:15  Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. The bible speaks of a powerful angelic being that was called, in the beginning, Lucifer. The bible describes him as a most beautiful and powerful being that God had ever created. He was covered with the most precious of stones and his brightness was called “son of the morning.” Ezekiel 28:12-13 "Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre,(Satan) and say to him, 'Thus says the Lord God: "You were t...

by Grant Phillips Have you ever noticed the glassy-eyed look you get from some people when you mention spiritual warfare? It is especially alarming when talking to another person who claims to be a Christian, and they look at you like you came from another planet and need to be locked up for your own good. It is alarming because it corroborates the immaturity of a fellow Christian. Satan uses a double barrel method of attack against us humans. With some he shows himself as evil and draws those (non-Christians) in to worship him. With most of us however, Christians and non-Christians alike, he works at making us believe that he really doesn’t exist. I firmly believe that far more people than we even realize are possessed to one degree or another by Satan’s demons. At the very least, many, many more are strongly influenced by Satanic forces, and don’t even realize it. The one thing that needs to be made clear is that Satan is not omnipresent; he can only be in one pla...

Joe McKeever "Your words have stood men on their feet." Job 4:4 June 22, 2012 As a child, I was enthralled by the story of "Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves." This ancient Arabian story tells of an everyday working guy, Ali Baba, who happens to overhear thieves discussing their hidden treasure. He follows them to their cave, hears the magic words  Open Sesame  (our English version of what they said, no doubt) which opens the door, and follows them inside. There he discovers a king's ransom in jewels and gold. Later, using the (ahem) password, Ali Baba returns and helps himself to the treasure. You can see why a child would love that story. It contains so many of the elements we all like in a good story: free gold, easy living, the bad guys are conned, and simple words that do wondrous things. I don't know any magic words other than  I love you, thank you, you're beautiful/you're important/you are smart, and please.  However, in studying the Holy Script...

Will born again believer in Christ  lose their salvation when they sin ? by Ron Graham - twotug@embarqmail.com “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus,” Romans 8:1. Condemnation is a sphere of entrapment used by Satan and his horde of malevolent misfits to enslave even the followers of Jesus Christ. Every time we stumble and commit a sin the enemy moves in to convince us that we are once again under God’s condemnation. If you are born again and yet you have allowed the enemy to entrap you thusly, it’s imperative you memorize the above verse. If you don’t fall into that category memorize it anyway. Satan will never stop his attacks. Consider the above verse your security blanket. “He that believeth on him (Jesus the Christ) is not condemned: John 3:18a. With this verse, Jesus’ words confirm the simplicity of salvation; believing “on Him” removes all condemnation “…but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in ...

“…for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.” 2 Peter 2:19b. If I was the devil and I wanted to motivate people toward a certain goal to bring them to a point of full bondage to me, what tool could I incorporate into their lives to control their minds, hearts, even their very souls? T.E.L.E.V.I.S.I.O.N. What a concept; a tool that would start out to be so very innocuous but would grow to become a highly successful manipulator. After all, it’s always on.  Source Every Christian believer knows full well that it is Satan’s intent to remove God from the minds of men - period. Just look how much freer Satan is now that he’s able to introduce subjects more in line with humanities sinful nature and desires, without condemnation or much resistance, all through the medium of television. The enemy of mankind has created a “leisure time” product that has now infiltrated every home, and what a potential for leading the masses astray. Television has become the full...
