HAS ISRAEL BEEN CAST AWAY?

By Pastor Mike  Taylor Romans 11:1: 11:1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. The apostle Paul answers the question proposed, “Has God cast Israel away?” in this eleventh chapter of Romans. It would seem the present mainstream churches teach, with an exception of a few enlightened Christians who actually read and believe their bible that God has done away with Israel because of their unbelief. Since the crucifixion of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Israel has endured intense persecution for nigh 2000 years. As scripture tells the story of the trial of Jesus before Pontius Pilate, when asked what to do with Jesus, the Jewish authorities and their cohorts spoke prophetically of their coming fate. Matthew chapter 27: 27:24  When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the mult...

Your Life: Are You Buying or Renting?

By Patrick Wyett - http://www.raptureready.com/soap2/wyett22.html   In the real estate world there are buyers and renters. I've been both; having bought a house and rented furnished and unfurnished apartments. Each comes with different levels of commitment and investment. Unless you're flipping houses, purchasing a home has a long-term feeling of security to it. It's your home. All your stuff's there, you decorate it to your taste, make modifications to suit your needs and settle in. Upkeep to the structure and grounds is your responsibility. It's all yours as long as you pay the mortgage and taxes. Not so with renting. Renting has a temporary feel. The structure isn't yours nor will it ever be. You sign a lease for a specified amount of time. You're limited as to what modifications can be made, and really, you wouldn't want to invest in improvement of something you don't own and won't see a return on. You may or may not have up-...

THE WAR WITH HAMAS

Image
By Jan Willem van der Hoeven Four year-old Daniel Tragerman, hy"d, the victim of Friday's Hamas mortar fire on Kibbutz Nahal Oz, was laid to rest Sunday morning at the Hevel Shalom cemetery in the Eshkol Region amidst heartbreaking scenes.  Daniel's mother Gila eulogized him:  "I do not understand what's going on at all, sweetie," Gila stated. "I cannot believe I'm here to say goodbye." "We were the happiest family in the world and I do not accept this," she added. "My Daniel, we want to thank you for teaching us to love, to smile, and for giving us many moments of joy in such a short time. You're smart, sensitive, beautiful." "I find comfort in that you were a child who was loved, and who was happy, until his last moments," she continued. "We wanted to protect you, but even the 'code red' siren did not protect us." "God in heaven, strengthen us, give us the strength...

Promises Made to the Children of God

 - by Pastor Mike -  http://www.churchofgod-usa.org/1/post/2014/08/promises-made-to-the-children-of-god.html   Of all the chapters in the Bible that provides a description of what     promises are afforded to the redeemed child of God, (and there are many) Romans chapter 8 is my personal favorite and I want us to jump right in and discover these rich, wonderful promises that God has given us, through Jesus Christ , our Lord.  Romans 8:1  "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 8:2  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 8:3  For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 8:4  That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled i...
